A quiet afternoon in Pham Ngu Lao, the backpacker district of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This tangle of electrical wires is pretty typical of Southeast Asian countries – but Vietnam’s seemed to be particularly low and particularly precarious.

    That’s funny. I have a few pictures of that from Saigon. Can you imagine how they fix anything?

      Hey Christy – I often wonder how many people a year get electrocuted by them!!

    Even in Korea (which is a first world country) wires are a big problem. Outside of where I live is like an electrocution waiting to happen.

    I was pleasantly surprised when I was in Chiang Mai this summer that all of the wires on Thapae Gate Road have been buried. I
