Photo Friday: Dusk falls over Manhattan

May 6, 2011

Evening falls over the Manhattan Bridge, NYC

The first time I travelled to New York City was on a work trip.

I was attending a conference in Brooklyn and one of the evening activities was an open-top bus ride around the city.

Just as night was falling, the bus travelled over the Manhattan Bridge. The skyline wasn’t completely lit up yet so the brake lights of the cars stood out against the pastel-hued sky.

I fell in love with NYC as soon as we landed there. Even though there is no beach there, I think it is a place I could definitely live. Really nice photo. 🙂

Thanks Elise 🙂 I could definitely live there, too. It’s one of those places I know I’ll just keep going back to throughout my life.

@Elise: You could go to Coney Island in Brooklyn; it’s not far away. But the best beaches are on the Jersey Shore, about 2 to 3 hours away from Manhattan.
@Megan: I feel the same way too! The vibrance and energy, unmatched anywhere else I have been to.
